Worked scenario 1: backing up break-over without running out of foot

A foot shows a broken-back axis, a long toe, and underrun heels, but the sole is thin and the white line sits close to the wall. The tempting correction, matching the dorsal wall to the pastern angle in one visit, spends foot the horse cannot spare in this scenario.

The plausible mistake: the farrier sees the obvious axis and chases it cosmetically, rasping the toe hard and stacking heel in a single visit so the numbers on the hoof gauge look aligned. On this particular foot the sole is thin and the white line runs close to the wall on the solar view, so aggressive toe removal cuts into depth from above and below at once.
